UW Medicine physicians recently performed a rare brain surgery, implanting a stent that helped relieve a Sacramento, California, woman’s devastating headaches and potential blindness. Harborview Medical Center is one of only a few hospitals in the nation perform to the procedure.

Patient Michelle Catchot, 23, expressed her gratitude to Dr. Michael Levitt, a specialist with UW Medicine’s neurosciences unit. Catchot uses a cane now, but is in rehabilitation therapy and is expected to make a full recovery.
