In honor of its 40th reunion, the Class of 1966 established a legacy that will support the future of the medical profession and succeeding generations of doctors. By creating the UW Medicine Class of 1966 Endowed Scholarship, the class hopes to help relieve the burden of debt that medical students carry, giving students greater freedom to choose how to practice medicine. With less debt, students are free to pursue lower-paying but essential fields, such as academic or rural medicine.
