This endowment is part of the second Huckabay Family Challenge Match for Medical Student Endowed Scholarships, a program that started in April 2012. The program was made possible by a generous gift to UW Medicine from the Huckabay family in honor of Paul G. Ramsey, M.D., his 37 years of service to UW Medicine and his 15th anniversary as dean of the UW School of Medicine. John Cadwell, M.D., and Priscilla Cadwell created this endowment in gratitude to UW Medicine and shared the following words of thanks. “Thank you to the University of Washington for a medical degree in 1976. Thanks for support from friends, especially in rehab medicine, for good timing, good times and good fortune. Our thanks is best expressed by giving back to leave the world a better place. We are especially glad to help and encourage tomorrow’s physicians, and we open our hearts and hands to those who will be doing the same for tomorrow’s patients.”
