Thomas J. Benedetti, M.D., and Jacqueline K. Benedetti, Ph.D.
Thomas J. Benedetti, M.D. ’73, MHA ’00 and Jacqueline K. Benedetti, Ph.D. ’74 know the value of graduate education. Thomas, a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at UW, and Jacqueline, a professor of biostatistics at the University, both obtained their graduate degrees from the University of Washington. In creating this fund, they pay tribute to Thomas’s father, grandmother and grandfather, who emigrated from Italy to the U.S. in 1916. The Benedettis also have made a planned gift to benefit scholarship students.
The purpose of the Benedettis’ scholarship is to provide assistance to M.D. students in the School of Medicine: students who are from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and/or the first in their family to go to college.
