Contributors to the Huckabay Family Challenge Endowed Scholarship in Medicine
Concern over students’ increasing debt loads motivated members the Huckabays, generous scholarship supporters since 1995, to create the Huckabay Family Challenge with a gift of $1 million. To encourage others to support endowed scholarships, the Huckabay Family Challenge provided a dollar-for-dollar match. Donors to the challenge scholarship, including many friends and alumni, were inspired by the Huckabays’ leadership gift. The Huckabay Family Challenge led to the augmentation of existing endowed scholarship funds and the creation of new endowed scholarship funds, including the Huckabay Family Challenge Endowed Scholarship in Medicine.
