James M. Osburn Endowed Scholarship in Medicine

EST. 2008

No letter required

James M. Osburn died on December 22, 1989. He directed a portion of the proceeds from his estate to the UW School of Medicine to create a loan fund. Mr. Osburn wanted to support worthy students with financial need. He also was interested in students who would go on to be “servant[s] to the public in medical science.”

In converting this loan fund into an endowed scholarship in 2008, UW Medicine pays tribute to Mr. Osburn and honors his intention to support medical students at the UW School of Medicine.
