Dr. Adcox

Micheal J. Adcox, M.D. has practiced medicine in Boise, Idaho since 1992. He is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology, and is involved in all aspects of nephrology care. He earned his medical degree from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1985, and completed his internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship through the University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Adcox earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Boise State University.

Dr. Adcox’s professional activities have included: medical director and member of the board of directors of St. Alphonsus Nephrology Center; clinical assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine; chairman of the Medical Review Board of the Northwest Renal Network; and a member of the Medical Review and Advisory Committee of the Idaho Medical Association. He was named Consultant of the Year in 1999 from the Robert L. Miller, M.D., Memorial Award and received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Boise State University in 2002.

Dr. Adcox is grateful for the mentorship and financial support that he received throughout his education. In establishing this scholarship, he hopes to inspire and support future generations of students from Idaho who are pursuing their goal of becoming physicians.
