Robert Heskett, M.D. (1912–1995), was a graduate of Harvard Medical School and trained at University Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich., and University Hospital in Cleveland. He practiced as a pediatrician in Spokane from 1940 to 1970. Dr. Heskett served as president of the medical staff of Sacred Heart Medical Center and Deaconess Medical Center.
In 1970, Dr. Heskett became the first coordinator of medical education for the University of Washington in Spokane, where he helped organize residency programs in family practice, internal medicine, obstetrics-gynecology and pathology.
Dr. Heskett became a full professor of the UW School of Medicine in 1970. He retired in 1981.
