Recognizing that medical school costs have grown significantly over time, leaders in the Class of 1957 agreed to use their 50th reunion to focus on scholarship: to connect with fellow classmates, and to ask for their participation in a fundraising campaign.

With strong leadership from its class reunion committee, the Class of 1957 decided to use the University of Washington’s Students First campaign program to make a major gift to scholarship. Once established, the UW Medicine Class of 1957 Endowed Scholarship Fund will recognize the class’s thoughtfulness and achievements in perpetuity.
