The Spickard Student Loan Fund, which was established in 1983, was created using funds from undesignated gifts made in memory of Dr. Warren B. Spickard. Once gifts had accumulated, the decision was made by the School of Medicine, in accordance with needs at that time, to designate the funds for loans to medical students. The Warren B. Spickard, M.D. Endowed Scholarship in Medicine will provide current and future medical students with much-needed scholarship support while also honoring the intent and generosity of the gifts made in memory of Dr. Spickard.
