Education — and a host of good teachers and mentors — have always been a central part of the lives of Dr. Wayne L. Chandler, Res. ’86, and Ms. T. Maenad Widdershins. Through the creation of this scholarship to support master’s students in Medical Technology, they support this belief in education. They also want to help students pay for graduate school in this important field. Master’s-level technologists play a critical role in laboratory medicine worldwide, acting as laboratory directors and managers, teachers, and researchers. With this scholarship, Dr. Chandler and Ms. Widdershins hope to provide opportunities for students working towards a degree in higher education while providing new leaders for the field of laboratory medicine.
