Dr. William Reynolds

Joanne Reynolds grew up in Western North Carolina and William Reynolds in Missoula, Montana. They met in St. Louis, Missouri when Bill was a senior at the Washington University School of Medicine and Jo was working as a nurse at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. After several years of residency at the Mayo Clinic, they returned to Missoula where Bill practiced internal medicine and endocrinology at the Western Montana Clinic. The raised three children, who are all now active professionals. Bill was on the University of Washington WAMI faculty from its onset in 1974 in Missoula and retired in 2001 as an Emeritus Professor of Medicine. Along the way, Bill served on the governing board of the American College of Physicians and as President in 1997-98.

Bill and Jo Reynolds decided to give back by providing a scholarship to a worthy student in the University of Washington School of Medicine, in the hopes that a Montana resident will be encouraged to practice and teach in Montana or where ever he or she can make the best contribution to society.
