Fast-track clinical research that improves the early detection, prevention and treatment of kidney disease and its complications.

To recruit and retain diverse nephrology researchers at the Kidney Research Institute, the Center for Dialysis Innovation and other areas in the Dept. of Medicine’s Nephrology Division, in collaboration with the Office of Health Care Equity.

To provide for the Kidney Research Institute (KRI) expenditures such as faculty recruitment, dinners, travel expenses for faculty and staff activities.

To support research and related activities in type I diabetes, kidney research and post-transplant and immunosuppressive medications.
