Last year, 452 people died or were seriously injured by distracted, careless or inattentive driving in the state of Montana. During her WWAMI rotation in Hardin, Mont., third-year medical student Marjorie Nicholson met many victims of vehicle accidents. Hoping to send a message to the next generation of drivers, Nicholson paid several visits to Hardin High School to talk with students about the dangers of distracted driving. The students recently signed a pledge to fight texting and driving.
