Jon Fine
Jon Fine is being recognized for his work championing the UW Medicine Neurosciences Institute. Named for the late Brooks G. Ragen, the Ragen Award honors volunteers who have made outstanding contributions toward advancing the mission of UW Medicine.

Dr. Tim Dellit

Timothy H. Dellit, MD
CEO, UW Medicine

Tim Dellit, MD, is CEO of UW Medicine, executive vice president for medical affairs and Paul G. Ramsey Endowed Dean of the UW School of Medicine. He previously served as chief medical officer for UW Medicine, executive vice dean for clinical affairs for the School of Medicine, vice president for medical affairs and president of UW Physicians (UWP), a faculty practice plan with more than 2,800 members.

Dr. Dellit earned his MD from Cornell University Medical College. He is board-certified in both infectious diseases and internal medicine. Dr. Dellit’s clinical and research interests include general infectious diseases, orthopedic trauma-related infections, prevention of healthcare-associated infections and appropriate use of antibiotics.

Andrea is currently receiving lecanemab to treat her early-stage Alzheimer’s disease at the Memory and Brain Wellness Center. She says, “I think the future is looking like a lot more people are going to have Alzheimer’s, so the research going on at the UW is invaluable. I can’t say enough about how lucky and pleased I am to be in this program.”

Michael Rosenbloom, MD

Michael Rosenbloom, MD
Associate Professor, Department of Neurology, UW Medicine
Director of Clinical Trials, MBWC
Co-Investigator, Clinical Core, ADRC

Dr. Rosenbloom is a board-certified neurologist at the UW Medicine Memory and Brain Wellness Center where he directs the clinical trials running at the UW Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center in Seattle, WA.

He previously served for 13 years as director of the HealthPartners Center for Memory and Aging in St. Paul, MN, and chair of the Department of Neurology for eight years before joining UW Medicine in 2023.

He attended medical school at the Columbia University, completed his neurology training at the Mass General/Brigham and Women’s residency program before entering a behavioral neurology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco Memory and Aging Center.

Jessica Young, PhD

Principal Investigator, Young Lab
Faculty, Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine (ISCRM)

Dr. Jessica Young is associate professor for the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology and for the Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine.

Jessica completed her PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology here at the University of Washington and returned to UW Medicine after her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Diego.

Jessica’s lab is doing groundbreaking work to determine the molecular and cellular mechanisms behind Alzheimer’s disease using living cells. Her work is fundamental to increasing our basic understanding of what goes wrong during Alzheimer’s and to developing and testing new therapies to prevent that from happening.
